Playthrough with Terry, Krizalid and Rugal. This game is a re-make of KoF 2002, with new backgrounds, new moves and several extra characters. Characters missing from the original 2002 have been added, such as Igniz, Bao and Shingo. Just about everyone who appeared in '99, 2000 and 2001 is back, and there are several alternate versions of characters, meaning that this KoF has the largest fighter roster in the series. Sadly the Playstation 2 version of this game was only released in Japan.

There are two versions of it: the first version (which is what I'm using) and an updated 'Tougeki' version which removes an infinite and fixes some other bugs. An Xbox 360 version was also released, but the online play it features isn't good and it is also missing the color edit mode. So I thought to fight Igniz you had to finish off your hidden challenger (Namless) with a hidden desperation move, something I tried to do and failed, ending up getting a time over. Turns out I was wrong: it was the stage after that you need to finish your opponent with a HDM.

And I managed to screw that up, resulting in me fighting Original Zero as the boss. Still got to fight Rugal though so I guess that's OK. Omega Rugal become extinct.?

Ohh, and there's 4 different Kyo's.:/ A new character, simply called 'Nameless,' was also introduced to take the place of K9999 (since everyone knows he's a rip-off of Tetsuo Shima from Akira and SNK probably doesn't want to get sued in the future). Nameless fights very similar to K9999, even though he has completely different animations.

Most of the other character updates are subtle, but many characters have brand new desperation moves. Vincent Van Gogh Letters To Theo Pdf on this page. Overall though, it's pretty much the same KOF people have been playing for years. For hardcore KOF fans, it's a timeless game with tons of replayability.

But for casual fans or players looking for a bit more graphical prowess out of their 2D fighter, Unlimited Match may disappoint. Despite looking a bit on the aged side, Unlimited Match gives hardcore KOF fans yet another solid remake of a classic KOF saga. And it's the definitive remake if there ever was one. Certainly a must play / must own for anyone who calls themselves a KOF fan. ~TFG Webmaster.
