8/8/2009 10:49 PM I must be working to hard. We just installed a new APC SMARTUPS 1500 and I'm trying to install PowerChute Business Edition that comes with it.

The disk says version 8 for windows on it with a 2008 year stamped on it. According to the instructions in the getting started guide on the disk, I'm supposed to install the agent, server and console.

But I can't seem to find anything by the Agent on the disk!? The autorun only gives the option to install the Agent for Windows. I explored the disk and can't find anything else to install on it. I googled around and couldn't find anything as far as downloads for console and server. Am I missing something here? The software that comes with your UPS offers a single node agent for our customers to use. In the event that the customer would like to have added features such as shutdown utilities for Siebel, MS Exchange etc and having a centralize management solution they would need to purchase either the 5 or 25-node version of PowerChute. Just like what Voidstar said, this program is called the PowerChute Business Edition Deluxe. The Deluxe version will not shutdown two or multiple servers gracefully from a single Smart UPS unless you use the appropriate Smart Slot accessories. Please view the below K-base document which explains how can you shutdown gracefully two or multiple servers with PowerChute software when using one Smart-UPS in the event of power failure. You may also execute the command scripts to shutdown the second Server from a single Smart UPS through the Power Chute Business Edition Single node version.
